About the role:
Purchasing Associate oversees the purchasing of medical supplies by managing administrative tasks, maintaining inventory and assisting with vendor relationships. They play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient procurement process.
Responsibilities:
- Create, process, track purchase orders ensuring accuracy
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential shortages, and maintain optimal inventory
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, vendor information
- Liaison with suppliers, obtain quotes, and resolve order/delivery issues
- Oversee shipping schedules and maintain tracking information
- Schedule freight shipments and work with vendors for delivery
- Complete various reports to manufacturers and contractors
- Work with distribution staff to identify discrepancies
- Handle vendor returns
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficient in Google Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Apple relevant software
- Experience with record-keeping and data management
- Must be able to handle confidential information responsibly
- Physical requirement: Lift 25-50 pounds repeatedly, stand on feet for extended periods of time
Job Type: Full-time | Temp to hire
Pay: $20 - $22/hr. (commensurate with experience)
Location: Airport Business District
Schedule: Monday- Friday: 7:30am - 4:00 pm
Parking: Available on-site
