Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing questions, concerns, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up care
- Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Assist with insurance verification, prior authorizations, and billing inquiries as needed
- Follow up on hospital and ER visits to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Support workflow efficiency and contribute to a positive team environment
Qualifications
- Healthcare-related education, such as an MA or CNA certificate, is required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or patient coordination role strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
