Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector (Entry Level)

Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Quality Inspector who is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality standards by performing inspections, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This entry-level role plays a key part in reducing the cost of poor quality by detecting issues early in the production process.

Location: 6800 Old Collamer Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057

Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products
• Identify, document, and report defects or non-conformances
• Follow inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
• Use basic measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities as needed
• Adhere to all safety and company policies

• Proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and supports the implementation of process enhancements and related initiatives. Able to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve daily targets and weekly deadlines under supervision. 
• Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and friendly adaptable approach.
• Maintains cleanliness of common areas and actively participates in 5S and workplace organization initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to read and interpret simple drawings or specifications (preferred but not required
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and be trained on inspection processes and tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-600, IPC-610, IPC-620)
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

This position involves working in manufacturing and warehouse environments and may require bending, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting. All essential job functions can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.

Hourly Range: The anticipated hourly range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $22.50 to $28.00 Please note that the hourly information is a general guideline only.
