What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Director position at Hickory Recovery?
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Intake Director is responsible for facilitation of intake for clients. This includes development of full intake team, and intake procedures. duties will include the utilization of appropriate screening tools, risk assessment, clinical triage and disposition, brief supportive counselling and psychoeducation, consultation, advice and information sharing. This individual also facilitates recruitment, training and scheduling for the intake team.
SCOPE:
Under the immediate supervision of the CEO, the Intake Director is responsible for coordinating admissions procedures to achieve smooth patient transition to treatment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Intake Director will conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients & relatives to gather case history and plans and provides to the team for treatment plan development.
- Schedule appointments for consultations, tests and procedures
- Answer phone and email inquiries
- Address any patient complaints or concerns
- Perform clerical work such as filing, copying and faxing
- Prepare and maintain patient charts
- Comply with the regulations and policies of the facility
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with
- At least 2 years of experience in behavioral healthcare/Psych
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders and DSM & DGM criteria and terminology
- Scheduling flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation is REQUIRED.
- Must hold valid driver's license with reliable transportation
