What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Inventory Lead position at HICKORY CHAIR LLC?
Position Summary
Position is responsible for overseeing the inventory program as it relates to the upholstery and/or wood working areas. The team lead will work closely with inventory staff to resolve any inventory issues. The Lead must manage deadlines and workflow to ensure orders are running on time.
Position Details
- Coordinating the tickets daily to run production in the Assembly Department and Stock Bins
- Asses process flows and recommend changes as needed
- Monitors all inventory counts (weekly, monthly & quarterly)
- Managers all inventory scrapping, issuing & movement in the inventory system
- Creating a daily Pod list to run production. This consist of creating Pod tickets and to separate tickets in order by good dates.
- Keeping up with Pod’s as finishing department completes
- Keep orders going to the CNC Router with current tickets
- Immediately contact Department Manager for any complications that arise
- Scanning tickets as needed
- Update Special Inspect and parts shortage list as needed
- Share responsibility for daily pull parts list as required by daily production order numbers
- Responsible for placing items in appropriate production bins
- Maintain current and up to date inventory on parts daily
- Must keep stock rotated and filled accordingly to bin number and labeling
- Observes plant safety rules
- Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
- Must work with Customer Service and Managers on Special Customer Requests
- Leads and/or participates in other duties/projects as needed
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous inventory experience preferred
- Good communication and decision making skill are required
- Must be able to operate a scan gun and iPad
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word & Excel)
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Data entry skills
