What are the responsibilities and job description for the Glue Reel Operator position at HICKORY CHAIR LLC?
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operating the Auto Glue Reel and/or hand operated Glue Reel in a high-end furniture environment.
Essential Duties:
- Set-up and operate Auto Glue Reel and hand operated Glue Reel, as required
- Inspect parts for quality, identifying & separating defective materials
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous glue reel experience preferred
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Ability to identify wood species such as maple, mahogany and ash preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
