Director of Clinical Services -Hickory Behavioral Network

Primary Purpose and Function:
The Director of Clinical Services serves as the primary educator and direct supervisor for the Clinical Services team. This leader is responsible for overseeing all clinical functions in an acute psychiatric hospital; collaborating, and coordinating care with the Chief Nursing Officer, Psychiatric and Medical Practitioners, therapists, and direct care staff. The Clinical Director will ensure their staff are providing best-practice techniques in assessments, treatment planning, group facilitation and therapeutic programming as well as maintaining the highest standard of clinical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current LSW, LPC, LISW, LCAC, LMHC, LCSW, PSYD
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and proficiency in trauma informed care
- 5 years related experience and/or training, (or) Three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience, including experience working as part of a multi- disciplinary team preferred
- Working knowledge of state regulations for Department of Mental Health and addictions and/or initiative to learn
- Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, Publisher, and PowerPoint required
- Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with patients and staff
- Schedule flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation may be required
- Must hold valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops, trains, and oversees all clinical services staff and works in complete collaboration with the nursing department in training trauma-informed approach techniques and group facilitation techniques.
- Demonstrates and demands a culture of service excellence from all peers and staff.
- Develops, trains, and implements best-practice techniques, facilitates Clinical Training & engages with local communities onsite to ensure quality care
- Develops, teaches, and monitors documentation standards for clinical staff with strict attention to regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates ownership of the Clinical department and takes initiative to ensure best practices with staff and self always.
- Drives organizational culture, strategy, and company policy and develops key relationships with corporate team, CEO, and Clinical Staff.
- Leads the team by developing clear role expectations for all therapists, modeling effective group facilitation, and professional growth
- Responsible for administrative and clinical supervision
- Monitor Survey Preparedness and assist with and monitor Plan of Corrections
- Be always available for phone calls when an event occurs.
- Provide regular formal education and orientation to the Clinical Staff and provide education as needed to Therapist and MHT’s
Pay Band: Full Time- $75,000-$90,000
As this is not an all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned as required by Patient and Facility needs.
