Job Summary
Hibernia Bank is seeking a skilled and experienced Deposit Operations Specialist to support our bank operations functions, in our downtown New Orleans office.
The primary functions of the Deposit Operations Specialist are to ensure the timely and accurate support for Retail Banking staff and customer service inquiries. The successful candidate must ensure adherence to various federal regulations by monitoring account activities and transactions, researching and resolving complex customer inquiries, and providing system/application support to assist branch personnel in researching various issues as they may arise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily file maintenance program
- Administer electronic banking program (online and mobile banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture, ACH origination, debit/credit card services)
- Assist and monitor Reg E compliance which includes handling and resolving electronic funds transfer issues, disputes and errors
- Monitor Reg CC and other hold activities
- Administer Bank’s ATM/Debit Card program
- Provide operational and technical support for internal and external customers
- Assist in developing bank procedures for efficiency, consistency, and accuracy
- Assist with conducting and documenting branch audits and exams
- Maintain up to date knowledge of job-specific compliance regulations, i.e., Reg CC, Reg D, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg GG, NACHA Rules, etc.
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Minimum Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in bank and branch operations required.
- Experience with the Jack Henry core system strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of bank compliance regulations
- Ability to use Windows based PC and MS Office Software.
- Thorough understanding of deposit operations functions
