TITLE: Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Lead
PROGRAM: Children’s Community Based Services (CCBS)
JOB SUMMARY: This position entails providing clinical/treatment supervision, work direction, technical guidance, and ensuring quality control in
CCBS department. This individual will also perform direct service to consumers up to 2/3 of the time.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assume responsibility for direct service work with individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Assist the Program Director and Program Manager in the formulation, evaluation and installation of policies, procedures, and scheduling for the program.
- Develop program training plans for onboarding and ongoing support to staff.
- Provide all onboarding training in partnership with Program Practitioner Lead.
- Provide consultation to staff, other departments in the agency, and to community resources.
- Provide clinical/treatment supervision for mental health practitioners and/or bachelor’s level interns (and for clinical trainees and/or clinical interns when complete MN Board of Social Work and/or MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy requirements for board recognition as a Clinical Supervisor).
- Attend and participate in scheduled community events, staff meetings, and staff committees as assigned; as well as workshops, conferences and in-service presentations, as directed by the Program Director.
- Assume responsibility for meeting service level standards established by the Program Director.
- Assure compliance with rules, regulations, licenses and/or certification standards for the program.
- Complete all documentation as required by the agency.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Program Director with interviewing and hiring additional staff and interns as needed.
- Attend conferences, in-services, and trainings necessary to meet licensure and program requirements.
- Assist the Program Director with creating and maintaining the clinical handbook, with the knowledge and ability to implement 245i and CCBHC statutes.
- Review and evaluate data to assist the Program Director with
creating programming to meet the access demands and general needs of the community.
- Assist the Program Director with developing, training, and maintaining
clinical care pathway guidelines
that allow for consistency and ensure evidence-based practices utilized by all providers in the department.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
Must be able to move in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must communicate with others and exchange information. The employee regularly operates equipment (listed below) on a daily basis. Occasional bending and lifting of office materials may be required.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
EQUIPMENT USED: Computer, telephone, office equipment, vehicle.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Minimum graduate degree in mental health field of study.
- Experience: Required Licensure as an LP, LICSW, LMFT or LPCC.
Preferred: Board recognized Clinical Supervisor (or willingness to complete requirements for MN Board of Social Work and/or MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy).
- Possess a high level of human relation skills and an aptitude for effective decision-making.
- Effective organization and time management capabilities.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Work well on a team and coordinate as necessary to support clients.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Possess a vehicle valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel as needed to client or organization locations throughout SE MN.
