What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Hiawatha Behavioral Health?
The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Perform standard duties of receptionist, answering telephone calls, and greeting or welcoming visitors into the organization. This position is also responsible for ascertaining the needs of persons served and all other visitors who seek services or information from Hiawatha Behavioral Health. This position requires excellent customer services skills and serves as the first point of contact for all persons served, visitors, and vendors who have clinical or business relationships with HBH.
To be successful, this candidate must have
1. Must possess a high diploma or equivalent
2. Three to five years general office experience preferred, demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures, how to utilize electronic office equipment, and how to formulate professional correspondence required. Demonstrated ability to type a minimum of 55 wpm. May be required to participate in employment testing designed to measure word processing, clerical, and office skills.
3. Demonstrated customer service skills and the ability to work well with general public, exercising tact, diplomacy and flexibility under pressure.
4. Appointment is subject to driver’s license and criminal background check. Must be at least 18 years of age, maintain a working telephone, possess a valid driver's license, and provide own transportation.
