Role SummaryWe’re looking for a Sales & Marketing Intern to support prospecting and appointment-setting for our sales team while also improving our digital presence. You’ll work closely with leadership and sales to identify target customers, reach out to prospects, schedule meetings, and contribute to marketing content such as website updates, blog posts, newsletters, and social/email communications.
This is a hands-on role with meaningful responsibility—ideal for someone who wants to build a portfolio and learn how sales and marketing work in a growing business.
What You’ll DoSales Support & Prospecting (Primary)
- Research and build prospect lists (industries, companies, contacts)
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to introduce our services
- Qualify leads and schedule appointments for the sales team
- Track outreach activity and results in CRM/spreadsheets
- Attend sales meetings and facility visits when appropriate; take notes and help with follow-up
Marketing & Digital (Secondary)
- Update and maintain our website (new pages, edits, basic SEO updates)
- Create blog posts and short-form content using AI tools (with human review)
- Draft and send newsletters and customer communications (email social)
- Support basic content calendar planning and campaign tracking
- Assist in improving brand consistency across web/email/social
Required
- Current student pursuing Marketing, Business, Communications, or Computer Science (or related)
- Strong written communication skills (clear, professional, persuasive)
- Comfortable talking to people and making outbound calls
- Tech-forward mindset with interest in AI tools and digital marketing
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently on-site
Preferred
- Website building/editing experience (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Wix, basic HTML/CSS)
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, etc.)
- Basic understanding of SEO and content strategy
- Experience using AI tools for research, writing drafts, and workflow efficiency
- Interest in B2B sales, manufacturing, or industrial products
- Prospecting, lead qualification, and appointment setting
- Real B2B sales exposure (meetings, follow-up, deal support)
- Website/content management, email marketing, and social communications
- Practical experience using AI for marketing workflows (ethically and effectively)
- Number of qualified leads researched weekly
- Outreach activity volume (calls/emails/messages) and response rates
- Appointments scheduled for the sales team
- Website/content output (blogs/newsletters) and consistency of communications
