Job Overview
As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe and compliant workplace. Your expertise will guide our safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulations and promoting a culture of health and safety among all team members. You will be the driving force behind our commitment to maintaining a safe environment, conducting training sessions, and implementing effective safety programs.
What you’ll do
- Conduct Safety Meetings
- All Safety Coordinators are responsible for assisting the Safety Manager, including, but not limited to field supervision, training, safety administration and coordination.
- First Aid, Narcan and Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Emergency Procedures Training
- NFPA 70E and LOTO when applicable
- Responsible for Employer and Customer Safety Documents
- Implement and Perform Safety Training
- Perform Daily Safety Walk Down of Work Areas
- Responsible for Procuring and Distributing Personal Protective Equipment
- Assure Tools and Equipment are in Safe Working Condition
Basic qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in workplace safety.
- Experience in manufacturing environments or similar industries where safety is paramount.
Preferred qualifications
- associate's degree or higher in occupational safety, risk management, or construction management, or completion of a 2-yr trade program or apprenticeship
- OSHA 30
- Basic Computer Skills and Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
- Valid Driver's License
- Pass Background Check and Drug Test
- Authorized to Work in the US
- OSHA 510
- BCSP Certification
- Safety Trained Supervisor-Construction (STS-C) or higher
