Job Summary:
The Assembler is responsible for accurately assembling components and parts into finished products according to specifications, work orders, and production schedules. This role ensures that all assemblies meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Assemble parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Verify the fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet required specifications.
- Identify and report defective materials or assembly issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished products for shipment as needed.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
- Installing insulation.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
- Technical or vocational training in mechanical or electrical assembly is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Standing, bending, and repetitive motion for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
Preferred Certifications:
- Forklift or material handling certification (if applicable).
