As the Assistant Manager, you’ll support store leadership, empower the team, and help deliver a safe, customer‑focused experience in a regulated retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Store Manager to hit sales targets, manage margins, and exceed KPIs.
- Lead daily operations: opening/closing procedures, inventory oversight, cash handling, and point-of-sale accuracy.
- Recruit, train, and coach budtenders and retail staff—focusing on product knowledge, customer engagement, and compliance.
- Maintain product displays, jewelers‑level visual standards, and optimal store presentation.
- Track and analyze sales trends, stock levels, and performance data; execute action plans.
- Step in for the Store Manager as needed—taking charge of customer complaints or store escalation situations.
- Ensure full adherence to CT cannabis regulations, age verification, safety policies, and compliance protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- 1–3 years of retail management experience (assistant manager or supervisory roles preferred), ideally in cannabis or other heavily regulated retail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.
- Familiar with POS systems, inventory tracking, and retail data analytics.
- Detail‑oriented, with commitment to health, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Flexible availability: must be open to weekends, evenings, and peak trade hours.
- Must be 21 and able to pass required cannabis retail background checks.
