We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Superintendent to join our team in Sparks, NV.
Position Overview
The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all field operations, managing crew leaders and field teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. This role works closely with the Project Manager to plan labor, materials, and logistics, while maintaining open communication across departments and with clients.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in the field, takes pride in delivering high-quality work, and is skilled at developing and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate commercial roofing crews on multiple job sites.
- Attend and actively participate in pre-construction and project meetings.
- Review and interpret construction plans, scopes of work, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
- Establish and maintain communication with general contractors, building owners, consultants, project managers, and field staff.
- Promote and enforce job site safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to crew members and foremen on roofing systems, techniques, and best practices.
- Participate in manufacturer and company-sponsored training programs to stay current with industry standards.
- Recruit, develop, and retain reliable and skilled field personnel.
- Plan, schedule, and allocate labor, materials, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor job progress to ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Conduct roof inspections and surveys as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education in construction or management preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of roofing materials, systems, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and job scopes.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders to access roofs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to field management.
