Commercial roofing Account Manager
Seeking a commercial roofing sales representative with proven B2B sales. The ideal candidate is a professional that will prospect, inspect, and sell large-scale roofing systems, maintenance plans, and repairs to business owners, property managers, and municipalities. Successful candidates will manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and roof measurement to contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and pursue commercial leads through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals.
- Site Inspections & Estimations: Climb ladders, conduct roof surveys, measure square footage, and document existing damage. Evaluate technical requirements to draft accurate project proposals and estimates.
- Consultative Selling: Meet with decision-makers to explain various roofing systems, present customized solutions, and negotiate contracts.
- Pipeline Management: Use Salesforce to track accounts, update pending opportunities, and log client communications.
- Project Coordination: Act as the liaison between the client and the operations/installation department, ensuring a smooth transition once a job is sold.
- Client Retention: Follow up post-installation, resolve any arising issues, and secure long-term preventative maintenance and repair contracts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in B2B outside sales, construction management, or roofing. Technical knowledge of commercial roof systems is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex technical data in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Tech-Savviness: Comfort navigating CRM platforms, measurement tools and project management software.
- Physical Requirements: Must not have a fear of heights and possess the physical ability to climb ladders, walk on commercial rooftops, and lift at least 50 lbs in various weather conditions.
- Credentials: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks for secure facility access.
Compensation & Expectations
- Structure: Competitive base salary ($70k-$100k based on experience) plus uncapped commissions,
