What are the responsibilities and job description for the MIR Coordinator position at Hi-Lex Controls?
Performs evaluation of DDHLA and vendor supplied components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies; and, assists in internal and customer quality concerns
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- MIR Coordinator will be responsible for the scrap process from start to finish utilizing ERP system (PLEX).
- Scrap can range from customer returns, line scrap and supplier scrap.
- Parts will be broken down at the scrap area, separated by scrap / useable components.
- MIR Coordinator will be performing rework according to the rework standard.
- MIR Coordinator will be responsible for returning useable components back to production. (i.e. Warehouse)
- MIR Coordinator will be responsible for keeping the scrap area clean and organized (5S)
Secondary Functions:
- MIR coordinator may be required to act as a backup inspector / trainer/ scrap helper or any quality sorting activities asked by the quality engineer/manager.
Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
- Previous experience in quality systems. (Desirable, not required)
- Previous tier one automotive experience desirable.
- Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills.
- Must keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Education level requirements for this position? High School
- Must have excellent attendance
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment. Exposure to dangerous equipment.
- Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects up to 50 pounds.
