Job description
HI IQ Learning – is hiring an After-School Tutor for grades K-12 in Honolulu! Our instructors take the time to understand the way students learn and adapt their techniques to coincide with their needs, building trust and empowering them to foster a positive relationship with learning.
Our Tutors are assigned to support students in specific schools during pre-established times during the school year.
- Paid preparation and administrative times are included
- Materials and training are provided
Position and Duties
We are currently hiring an After-School Tutor for K-12 students who can capably handle all relative core subjects – Supplemental tutoring for math, reading comprehension, and creative writing.
As an After-School Tutor, you can be relied upon to:
- Arrive timely with reliable attendance
- Attend scheduled training sessions
- Effectively tutor small groups of students if needed
- Come to each session prepared to cover scheduled material
Qualifications
As an After-School Program Tutor, you are someone who has:
- Proficiency in tutoring and reviewing content related to core subjects grades K-12
- Previous teaching/tutoring/mentoring/coaching experience would be great, especially exposure to different learning styles (formal or informal)
- Be comfortable tutoring in a classroom environment managing a group of students

Successful candidates:
- Must have the following availability: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:15-5pm.
- Must be a current resident of Oahu, Hawaii (Honolulu or surrounding areas)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be open to completing a criminal background check
