HVAC Specialist

Position Summary

The HVAC Specialist will install, repair, and maintain the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to the standards set forth in the scope of work developed by the customer.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Installs new HVAC units in commercial, or industrial buildings.
• Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
• Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate properly.
• Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.
• Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
• Complies with company and industry safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• May travel to several customer locations within the day.
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with coworkers and customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to use power and hand tools.
• Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent mechanical skills.
• Excellent communication skills required to interact with customers.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• HVAC Certified.
• Three years of related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements 

• Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach, push, pull, or lift up to 100 pounds.
• May be subjected to varying levels of noise, air quality, lighting, and exposure to the elements.
