About the Position
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of HHG Interiors and its subsidiaries. Reporting to the VP of Accounting, this full-time, in-person position is responsible for a wide range of accounting activities, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting support. You’ll contribute to a high-functioning finance team that values accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement—and you’ll gain exposure to a multi-entity environment in the midst of thoughtful, strategic growth.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including invoicing, payment application, vendor communication, and issue resolution
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts regularly and accurately
- Maintain general ledger accuracy across entities; support timely and complete month-end close
- Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
- Generate base reports to support financial review and operational decision-making
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales and use tax filings
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documentation for internal review
- Support audits, budgeting, and documentation of financial processes and procedures
- Assist in onboarding and integrating financial operations for new acquisitions or business units
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with multi-entity or multi-division organizations.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven experience collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Process-minded, detail-oriented, and driven by continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial stakeholders.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
