What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cleaner and Landscaper position at HH Sawyer Realty?
H.H. Sawyer Realty Co. is a family run property management company that has been in business for over 50 years. We are currently hiring a full-time cleaner and landscaper to join our team. The cleaner/landscaper plays a very important role in making our buildings shine!
This is a Monday-Friday position with possible weekend overtime for snow removal.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with maintenance crew at the start and end of everyday.
- Inspecting the exterior of the property for any trash and weeding.
- Inspecting the interior of the properties.
- Vacuuming and mopping the common areas.
- Wiping down handrails.
- Cleaning glass and windows in the common areas.
- Wiping down all flat surfaces on a monthly basis.
- Replacing light bulbs as needed.
- Inspecting smoke detectors and emergency lights in the common areas.
- Transporting and monitoring the trash and recycling.
- During the summer, mowing and weeding the properties.
- During the winter, shoveling, salting, and sanding the properties.
- Semi-annually, cleaning of the dryer vents.
- Monitoring and cleaning dehumidifiers in the common areas.
Employees are required to lift 50 pounds repetitively at times. Seasonal temperature exposure is required. This is an interior/exterior position.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning tools and landscaping equipment.
- Drivers license and registered, inspected, insured vehicle.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player.
- Use mandated safety equipment and follow company procedures.
- Maintain a professional attitude and treat all people with respect and courtesy.
We do provide a generous monthly stipend towards vehicle use and an annual allowance for your choice of work day clothing. Our company recognizes fourteen paid holidays throughout the year.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
