We’re a small, family-owned construction business looking for an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys helping customers and keeping a busy office organized. You’ll work directly with the owners and become an important part of our team—a friendly, familiar voice for customers and someone we can count on to keep the details straight.
Hours that work for you—and our team
Our office is open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. We’re looking for part-time help, with schedules such as 8 a.m.–1 p.m. or noon–5 p.m. We’re flexible about arranging the hours, but once a schedule is agreed upon, it needs to remain consistent.
What you’ll do
- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare and send invoices, record customer payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Answer phones, take accurate messages, and assist customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Keep financial records and office information accurate and organized.
- Work with our accountant and help prepare records for tax deadlines.
- Stay on top of follow-ups and pitch in with everyday office needs.
What we’re looking for
- At least five years of bookkeeping experience—required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online—required.
- Bookkeeping experience in construction or a related trade preferred.
- Dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A warm personality and strong phone and customer service skills.
- Someone who takes good notes, keeps track of tasks, and follows through.
- Discretion and integrity with confidential customer, employee, and business information.
