Position Summary
HGA Support Services is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s human resources functions. This position plays a key role in supporting employees and managers while ensuring HR practices align with organizational goals, policies, and applicable employment laws and regulations.
The Human Resources Manager will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, training, employee records, and payroll oversight. This position serves as a strategic partner to organizational leadership and provides guidance and support on HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR-related matters.
- Manage employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee employee recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
- Manage employee performance evaluation initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Coordinate employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement, and leave programs.
- Support audits, regulatory inspections, and legal compliance initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Develop workforce planning and succession planning strategies.
- Promote employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify staffing needs and organizational development opportunities.
Payroll Oversight
- Oversee the organization's payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
- Review and approve payroll data, including hours worked, pay adjustments, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor payroll reports, audits, and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Manage employee payroll-related inquiries and assist with issue resolution.
- Ensure proper administration of garnishments, deductions, benefit contributions, and tax withholdings.
- Collaborate with Finance to support payroll reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive human resources experience.
- HR management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with payroll administration.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll regulations, and benefits administration.
