Position Summary:
Staff Accountant provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.
Position Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Treasury Services with daily cash management activities across multiple facilities and entities.
* Review and reconcile daily cash receipts from residents, insurance payments, and third-party payers.
* Perform bank account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline cash and treasury workflows.
* Provide backup coverage for key treasury functions during absences or high-volume periods.
* Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
* Reviews invoices for correct coding and recording for Accounts Payable.
* Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
* Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts and verifies information.
* Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
* Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
* Provides accounting support for monthly closings by reviewing financial information, converting data to general ledger system and obtaining information for preparing financial statements.
* Prepare worksheets and schedules for annual audit
* All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and abilities: Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting is necessary.
