Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Operator at Heycon. The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment to perform tasks such as site grading, excavation, material handling, and earth moving. Responsibilities include ensuring safe operations, performing routine equipment checks and maintenance, adhering to project specifications, and collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. The role involves working in outdoor environments and adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders
- Understanding of sitework, grading, and excavation processes
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting basic mechanical issues
- Ability to read project blueprints and understand construction specifications
- Proficiency in following safety procedures and regulations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other project members
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification in heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Previous experience in industrial or civil construction projects is preferred
- Valid driver’s license and applicable operator certifications are required
