Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Batch Operator, located in Augusta, GA. The Batch Operator’s day-to-day tasks include operating batching equipment, accurately measuring and mixing raw materials for concrete production, monitoring machine and equipment performance, and ensuring the quality and consistency of concrete batches. The role also involves performing regular equipment inspections, adhering to operational safety guidelines, and assisting with general plant maintenance when required.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in operating batching equipment and handling related machinery.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and an understanding of concrete mixing techniques.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and standards in an industrial or construction setting.
- Good problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and an ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, operating heavy equipment, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills to oversee production schedules and ensure timely job completion.
- Previous experience in construction or concrete production is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
