We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer to support healthcare payer data initiatives, with a strong focus on ETL/SSIS workflows, cloud modernization, and AI-driven automation. The ideal candidate will work across data engineering and AI teams to design scalable solutions that enhance payer analytics, streamline data operations, and support next-generation GenAI use cases.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and integrate Generative AI and LLM-based solutions for healthcare payer data (claims, eligibility, enrollment, payments, utilization, etc.).

Support and modernize existing ETL/SSIS workflows, migrating or integrating them into Azure Cloud environments.

Build and optimize data pipelines to support AI/ML models, including ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering.

Implement Azure-based services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Databricks, Azure Functions, and related tools.

Apply RAG, NLP, and other AI techniques to support payer workflows such as claims analysis, summarization, prior authorization automation, and knowledge extraction.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI, and healthcare data governance standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, product owners, and business users.

Prepare documentation, conduct model monitoring, and contribute to continuous improvement of AI solutions.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

Hands on experience in AI/ML development, including hands-on work with LLMs or generative AI frameworks.

Strong experience with ETL processes, SSIS, and SQL-based data manipulation.

Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services (ADF, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Databricks, Functions, etc.).

Solid understanding of healthcare payer data, including claims (837/835), eligibility, benefits, or utilization management.

Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML/AI libraries (Transformers, LangChain, Hugging Face, PyTorch, or TensorFlow).

Working knowledge of data privacy, compliance, and security standards in healthcare.
- Experience with vector databases, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and LLM fine-tuning.

Experience migrating SSIS or on-prem ETL workloads to Azure.

Knowledge of interoperability standards such as FHIR, HL7, X12.

Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, MLflow, Databricks).
