Don Hewlett Chevrolet Buick, a family-owned, people-oriented dealership in Georgetown, Texas, is seeking a motivated and organized Automotive Service Dispatcher to join our team. We operate a fast-paced service department focused on exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and high-quality repairs.
In this role, the ideal candidate will coordinate workflow between service advisors and technicians to support shop productivity, maintain repair quality, and help ensure vehicles are delivered on time.
Essential Duties
- Assign repair orders to technicians based on skill level, availability, and workload.
- Monitor shop progress and adjust workflow throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain clear communication among technicians, service advisors, and management.
- Prioritize repair orders to support efficient, timely completion.
- Help maintain shop productivity and technician efficiency.
- Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Track technician clock times and monitor repair progress.
- Assist management with daily shop operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive service department is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with dealership software such as CDK or Workflow 360 is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to prioritize work and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
