We're known for producing high-quality, customizable products that enhance waterfront living. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Canvas Production Associate to join our Canvas Department and help bring our products to life.
What You'll Do
In this hands-on role, you'll be trained to operate a variety of industrial sewing and automated equipment while seeing products through the entire manufacturing process—from raw material to finished product.
Responsibilities include:
- Operate industrial sewing machines, canvas welding equipment, automated CNC cutting equipment, and assembly tools.
- Read and follow work instructions, patterns, and production specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Produce custom canvas products and components for marine applications.
- Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, quality, and efficiency.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Manufacturing, sewing, upholstery, canvas, or assembly experience preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to learn new equipment and production processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic measuring skills and ability to work with hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
