Hetch Hetchy Water and Power is hiring a Civil Engineer to assist with the operation and maintenance of the HHWP system, a system that provides drinking water and power to the City and County of San Francisco. Hetch Hetchy Water and Power (HHWP) is a Division of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), part of the City and County of San Francisco. The SFPUC provides water to over 2.7 million people in the Bay Area, 85% of which comes from the HHWP system. HHWP operates 5 dams, 4 powerhouses, 5 tunnels totaling over 100 miles in length, 4 pipelines across 45 miles and many additional valvehouses, adits, pump stations and other facilities. HHWP offices are based out of Moccasin, California, in the western foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Those with experience with pipeline operations and dam safety are especially encouraged to apply.
This position will likely to include, but not be limited to the following:
- Inspect roads and bridges, and prepare condition assessment reports
- Inspect large diameter pipelines and foundations, and prepare condition assessment reports
- Evaluate high voltage transmission lattice tower footings and design repairs
- Prepare and/or review technical designs
- Prepare and/or review engineering documents

Salary : $172,354 - $209,508
