Full-Time Shipping & Front of House Associate
Hessney Auction Co. – Geneva, NY
Hessney Auction Co. is hiring a reliable, hardworking team member to join our fast-paced auction office.
This position combines post-auction shipping with front-of-house customer service duties.
We are looking for someone who is organized, friendly, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
Post-Auction Shipping (High Volume Periods):
- Pack and ship auction items accurately and securely
- Prepare labels and coordinate shipments
- Organize outgoing shipments
- Work as part of a 2-person team following firearms auctions
- Lift and move packages (30–40 lbs regularly)
Front of House (Non-Shipping Days):
- Greet all customers professionally
- Tag and process incoming consignment items
- Answer phones and assist customers
- Maintain an organized front gallery
- Provide clear and helpful customer service
Schedule
- M-F- Varies 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Some Saturday mornings required
- Hours may fluctuate during peak post-auction periods
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Good customer service skills
- Comfortable working on your feet
- Able to lift 30–40 lbs
- Organized and dependable
- Willing to learn — we will train the right person
Auction experience is not required, but reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
