Job Summary:
This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, processing shipments, and ensuring accurate inventory control. The role supports both shipping and receiving functions, including pulling, packing, verifying, and distributing materials, while serving as a back-up to the Shipping Coordinator.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of shipping and/or receiving experience
- Forklift license (ability to load/unload trucks and racks)
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, including cranes
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Strong math and organizational skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to bend, sit, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and part revisions
- Receive purchase orders into the system and report discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
- Pull, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
- Create bills of lading (BOLs), packing slips, and purchase orders for outside services
- Coordinate and support outsourcing activities
- Load and unload trucks, racks, and materials using forklifts and cranes
- Stock materials in designated locations and distribute to appropriate departments
- Wrap, band, and stage skids for shipment or delivery
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and inventory control practices
- Follow ISO standards and support Lean 6S manufacturing principles
- Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Epicor)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
