About Herz Precision Parts

Herz Precision Parts (HPP) is a U.S.-based manufacturer of high-quality, custom-fabricated metal and plastic products serving a diverse range of industries. We specialize in precision CNC machining and assembly for the semiconductor industry, supporting customers with everything from prototypes and short production runs to high-volume, high-value manufacturing.

Our comprehensive in-house capabilities include fabrication, welding, finishing, inspection, assembly, and packaging. HPP is known for its quality, responsiveness, and superior just-in-time turnaround, making us a dependable manufacturing partner for customers with demanding technical requirements and production schedules.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a relationship-driven National Strategic Sales Account Manager who can strengthen our existing customer partnerships, identify additional opportunities, generate additional revenue, open additional market verticals and help us deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Position Overview

The National Strategic Sales Account Manager will manage and grow a focused group of current key customer accounts as well as expanding into new industry verticals. This is primarily a relationship-management, optimization and account-development position rather than a high-volume cold-calling role.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with customer contacts, maintain regular communication, understand upcoming needs, coordinate opportunities internally, and help generate additional business from both existing and prospective accounts.

This person will serve as an important link between customers and Herz Precision Parts’ leadership, estimating, engineering, and operations teams. The role requires someone who is comfortable discussing manufacturing requirements, following opportunities through the sales process, and ensuring customers receive timely and accurate communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with a focused portfolio of key customers and serve as a primary commercial point of contact.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each customer’s business, purchasing process, manufacturing requirements, and future needs.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships and identify new projects, programs, and opportunities.
  • Grow revenue within assigned accounts by identifying additional products, capabilities, or services that Herz Precision Parts can provide.
  • Develop relationships with additional decision-makers, buyers, engineers, and operational contacts within customer organizations.
  • Coordinate with leadership and internal teams to evaluate requests for quotes, new programs, customer requirements, and potential opportunities.
  • Follow up consistently on quotes, proposals, open opportunities, and customer inquiries.
  • Help ensure that customer questions and requests are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively identify potential service, quality, delivery, or communication concerns.
  • Assist with resolving customer issues by coordinating with the appropriate internal team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, opportunities, follow-up activities, and account developments.
  • Prepare account plans and provide regular updates regarding customer activity, sales opportunities, risks, and expected demand.
  • Identify and pursue new strategic accounts that align with Herz Precision Parts’ capabilities and growth objectives.
  • Represent the company professionally during customer calls, facility visits, industry events, and other business development activities.
  • Work with leadership to develop sales priorities, account strategies, and revenue-growth plans.
  • Support the development of a more structured and repeatable account-management process.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed to strengthen relationships and support business development efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in account management, business development, customer service, or sales within manufacturing or another technical industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term customer relationships and expand business within existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with precision machining, contract manufacturing, semiconductors, industrial equipment, aerospace, medical devices, or other advanced manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Ability to understand technical products, specifications, drawings, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and consistent attention to follow-up.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively across sales, engineering, estimating, production, quality, and leadership teams.
  • Comfortable communicating with purchasing representatives, engineers, operations leaders, and senior decision-makers.
  • Ability to balance customer needs with operational capabilities and business objectives.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working with limited supervision.
  • Experience using a CRM or another system for tracking customer relationships and sales opportunities is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as customer and business needs require.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by the strength of customer relationships, responsiveness to customer needs, growth within existing accounts, development of new opportunities, and the accuracy and consistency of sales follow-up.

The Strategic Account Manager will help Herz Precision Parts become a more proactive and valuable partner to its customers while developing a dependable pipeline of repeat and expanded business.
