Herschend is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to add to our restaurant operations team for our newest hospitality venture, Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel, located in the heart of Downtown Nashville. The ideal candidate is driven to provide excellent bar experiences for our guests through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors at Parton’s Live, a 114 seat listening room on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

The Parton’s Live Bartender position provides a unique opportunity for the right individual to be involved in opening bar efforts for Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel featuring 245 rooms, two F&B Entertainment venues, a market, and Dolly Parton’s Museum. This position is driven to create meaningful experiences for our hosts, guests, and community while simultaneously ensuring the success and profitability of our unique bar offerings. The recipe for the right Bartender will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator. To achieve success in this role, one must drive results while adhering to our Heartspitality® culture. This position requires genuine passion for storytelling through music- fitting for a space inspired by one of Nashville’s most legendary artists.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checks with Manager for daily objectives
- Properly setting up/closing down bar wells with accuracy and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked
- Inspects Bar for cleanliness
- Craft and serve cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer with consistency and precision
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the full beverage menu including spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings
- Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
- Performs service, busser and runner duties as appropriate
- Must be willing to work in other disciplines within the department as directed by management
- Uses POS accurately. Handles card transactions as directed
- Participate in upsell strategies as directed by management
- Participates in daily line ups
- Practices service standards and current training throughout service

QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field
- High School Diploma, Required
- One-year Bartender experience, Required
- Must be able to obtain Serve Safe/Alcohol Server Certification
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Basic computer knowledge and usage preferred
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
