Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Pastry Chef role located in Nashville, TN. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts while maintaining the highest levels of food safety and hygiene. Key responsibilities include creating recipes, executing daily baking tasks, ensuring ingredient freshness, managing inventory, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaboration with the culinary team to design seasonal or special event menus will also be a core element of this role.
Qualifications
- Expertise in preparing a variety of baked goods, pastries, and confections
- Experience with recipe development, food presentation, and creative dessert design
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and inventory management
- Leadership abilities, including the supervision and training of kitchen staff
- Attention to detail, excellent time management, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification in baking and pastry arts is a plus
- Prior professional experience as a pastry chef or in a similar role is preferred
