The Ride Operations Senior Supervisor will assist in the supervision of the Rides Hosts working throughout the amusement park. This position directly supports park leadership with efficient operation of the department, which provides a positive guest experience.We are currently looking for a:
Roles & Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
Supervise t h e daily operations of t h e park operations team and any ot h er assigned departments
Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventureland ’s core values
Inspire ride operators by creating a positive and energetic atmosp h ere w h ere safety and guest satisfaction are top priorities
Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned Host s
Ensure compliance wit h company and indus tr y best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.
Become knowledgeable of performing t h e essential duties of all assigned park operations positions and backfill t h ese positions w h en needed
Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned host s, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
Ensure t h at all required meal and ot h er breaks are being given in accordance wit h Iowa law
Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities along with daily position assignments
Departmental Duties:
Maintain a compre h ensive knowledge of park at tr actions and safety procedures, assisting or operating rides and maintaining a safe aquatic environment w h en necessary.
Listen to guest feedback and complaints, communicating t h em to t h e respective department managers.
Provide coverage for Host s' breaks and monitor communication channels for additional assistance.
Provide direct support to Host s by conducting rounds throughout the park to address their needs .
Enforce Park policies, res tr ictions, and recommendations to ensure guest safety.
Remain calm and composed during emergency situations, exuding professionalism w h ile ad h ering to all standard operating procedures.
Maintain constant vigilance to proactively identify potential h azards and informs park leaders h ip of any concerns
Protect guest belongings, h andle lost and found items, and cooperate wit h ot h er departments to en h ance t h e guest experience.
Promptly notify security or park operators of any injuries or emergencies.
Conduct audits of Host s to ensure safe operations and fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
No education requirements for t h is position
2-3 years of previous work experience in t h e Rides or Aquatics departments is required . Previous ride operation experience from ot h er Amusement/T h eme Park emplo yers will also be considered.
2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred
All Rides Host s must go through the International Ride Operator Certification course as a part of the training. Successful course completion is required for this position. There is no cost to the Host for the course.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent Englis h Spanis h or ot h er bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age to comply wit h Iowa C h ild Labor Laws
Ability to work flexible sc h edule, including evenings, weekends, and h olidays, open to close
Must h ave reliable tr ansportation to and from your sc h eduled s h ift
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Ability to comply wit h all uniform policies
Must possess exceptional customer service skills, wit h an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
Must possess a safety-oriented mindset and be fully committed to enforcing all DOS H , IROC, and all ot h er regulations, policies, and procedures
Ability to inspire, motivate, and successfully lead a large number of Host s
Must be able to speak wit h guests directly w h en ot h er operations leaders h ip is not available
Ability to h andle h ig h -pressure situations, meet t h e demands of constant deadlines and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Must possess s tr ong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a fast-paced team
P h ysical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of t h e workday
Ability to remain sedentary for periods of time, w h ile using a computer
Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reac h above s h oulders
Ability to carry, pus h , pull, lift, and h old objects weig h ing 30 pounds or more
Ability to climb or descend stairs for some of t h e rides and at tr actions
Working Conditions:
T h is role will predominantly be based outdoors in t h e park environment
Constant exposure to t h e variable outside temperatures, including h ig h h eat, cold, direct sun, h umidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and ot h er weat h er conditions
Subject to frequent interruptions, constant repetitive motion, h ig h noise levels, flas h ing lig h ts, and h eavily populated environments
