Position Overview
Bring love stories and celebrations to life, one event at a time. The Wedding & Event Sales Consultant is the first step in a couple’s journey at Herrington on the Bay. From the initial appointment, you’ll guide clients through a streamlined and personalized process — listening to their vision, showcasing our stunning waterfront venue, and crafting tailored proposals. Once booked, you’ll seamlessly transition them to our Event Specialists, who bring every detail to life through planning, coordination, and flawless execution — all the way to “I Do!” This role combines relationship-building, creative problem-solving, and sales expertise to turn inquiries into unforgettable celebrations.
What You’ll Do
- Meet with wedding couples and clients to understand their vision and build trust.
- Lead engaging venue tours showcasing our premier waterfront event spaces.
- Create personalized cost proposals and collaborate on creative event ideas.
- Identify and qualify leads, converting inquiries into bookings.
- Build relationships through targeted outreach and networking.
- Manage your sales pipeline, scheduling impactful client appointments.
- Negotiate contracts that benefit both the client and Herrington on the Bay.
- Collaborate closely with your teammates to meet and exceed sales goals.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years in catering sales, hospitality, or luxury sales (required).
- College education preferred.
- Strong selling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales Technique of understanding the needs and desires of the potential client first and building events accordingly.
- Comfortable with numbers, sales metrics, and contract pricing.
- Proficiency with software such as Caterease, Outlook, Google, Canva, Excel, and Word.
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays regularly.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
