Join Our Event Team
Herrington on the Bay is looking for dependable, energetic, and hospitality-focused individuals to join our Front of House Event Team for our upcoming fall event season.
Our team helps create exceptional experiences and magical memories for our couples and guests. We are currently hiring for:
- Event Servers | 18
- Barbacks | 18
- Event Van Drivers | 18 and valid driver's license required
Whether you have previous hospitality experience or are looking to gain experience in the wedding and events industry, we are looking for team members who are positive, reliable, hardworking, and ready to work as part of a team.
Event Server
Event Servers are responsible for providing professional and attentive guest service throughout weddings and special events.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown
- Providing friendly and professional guest service
- Serving food and beverages
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Maintaining clean and organized event spaces
- Following direction from event leadership
- Supporting fellow team members throughout the event
Barback
Barbacks support our Beverage Team and help keep bar operations organized and running efficiently throughout events.
Responsibilities include:
- Stocking and restocking bars
- Maintaining ice, glassware, mixers, and other bar supplies
- Keeping bar and beverage areas clean and organized
- Assisting bartenders throughout the event
- Supporting event setup and breakdown
- Communicating proactively with the Beverage Team
Event Van Driver
Our Event Van Drivers provide operational support between our event venues and departments. This is not a guest shuttle position.
Responsibilities include:
- Pulling and organizing event items based on event pull lists
- Transporting supplies and equipment between event spaces
- Supporting both the Culinary and Service Teams
- Ensuring each event has the supplies and materials needed for successful execution
- Assisting with event setup, breakdown, and other operational needs
- Safely operating company vehicles
Event Van Drivers must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
What We Are Looking For
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Dependable and punctual
- Positive and professional attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Willingness to assist wherever needed to support a successful event
- Hospitality or event experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates
Scheduling
Our Front of House schedule offers flexibility based on our event calendar. Available shifts are posted in advance, and team members have the opportunity to pick up shifts that work with their availability.
Most event shifts take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with evening and weekend availability being especially important.
Typical shifts may begin around 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM and can end between 9:30 PM and 12:00 AM, depending on the event.
