About the Role
We’re seeking a Retail Supervisor to lead daily branch operations and ensure an exceptional customer experience. This role supervises teller and front-line staff, oversees daily transactions, and supports consumer lending activities. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team motivator, and customer-focused professional who can balance operational accuracy with leadership responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise tellers and Universal Bankers, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Open new retail and business accounts (checking, savings, CDs, IRAs).
- Support consumer lending by assisting customers with personal loans, credit products, and payments.
- Oversee daily transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and account maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with operational procedures, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Handle escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Manage scheduling, training, and coverage to ensure efficient branch operations.
- Perform vault balancing, ATM reconciliation, wire transfers, stop payments, and other operational duties.
- Promote Herring Bank products and services, referring customers to appropriate specialists.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented branch environment focused on service and compliance.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in business or accounting preferred.
- 2 years of teller experience; prior supervisory or lead teller experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of consumer banking and lending products.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure accuracy under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and core banking systems.
