Herold Family Dentistry is an established, family-focused dental practice located in beautiful downtown Portsmouth, NH, and we’re looking for a friendly, skilled, and compassionate part-time or full-time Dental Hygienist to join our Portsmouth Dental Family! One of our wonderful team members is cutting back after 30 amazing years, and we’re hoping to find the right person to grow with us. We're looking for a new team member to join us starting after January 1st 2026. Our office is truly a dental family; a close-knit group of professionals who’ve worked together for years and take pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment for both our patients and each other.
Role Description
This is a part-time or full-time, on-site role for a Registered Dental Hygienist located in Portsmouth, NH. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing routine dental cleanings, dental prophylaxis, and other preventive care services. They will also assess and manage periodontal health, provide patient education on oral hygiene, and collaborate closely with the dentist to deliver excellent patient care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment and ensuring compliance with dental care protocols.
Current schedule needs:
- Tuesdays: 7:45 am – 6:00 pm
- Wednesdays: 7:15 am – 5:00 pm
- Fridays: 7:15 am – 3:30 pm
- Optional: Thursdays

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Dental Hygiene and Preventive Dental Care practices
- Experience in performing Dental Prophylaxis and managing Periodontal Disease
- Solid understanding of general dentistry procedures
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of New Hampshire
- CPR certification
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental care team
- Experience with dental office software and tools is a plus
