What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Communications Manager position at HERNANDEZ CONSTRUCTION, LLC?
Hernandez Development & Construction is a vertically integrated real estate firm with a 23-year track record of delivering Class A industrial and commercial assets. With a $2B portfolio and a spot on the South Florida Business Journal’s Fastest-Growing Companies list, we pride ourselves on "Execution Certainty."
We are seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to be the architect of the "Hernandez Way." This is a high-impact role for a professional who can seamlessly pivot from drafting high-level executive communications to managing the logistics of a high-stakes groundbreaking ceremony. Crucially, this individual must be an Adobe InDesign expert, capable of translating complex construction data into world-class visual presentations for our investors and clients.
Key Responsibilities1. Design Excellence & Brand Voice (Critical InDesign Focus)
- The Blueprint: Lead the creation and layout of sophisticated pitch decks, capital call presentations, and “Problem/Solution/Result” case studies exclusively using Adobe InDesign.
- Narrative Management: Codify and protect the “Hernandez Way” brand voice, ensuring consistency in our “Full Lifecycle” story across all digital and physical platforms.
- Thought Leadership: Draft and distribute press releases, LinkedIn content for leadership, and project milestone updates (e.g., SFBJ Structures Awards).
- Internal Communications: Design and lead messaging for our "Purpose Driven" culture, including company-wide weekly meetings to keep our internal teams aligned and connected.
2. Event & Tradeshow Strategy
- Project Milestones: End-to-end planning and execution of all project events, including Groundbreakings, Topping-Out ceremonies, and Ribbon Cuttings.
- Industry Presence: Own the logistics and visual branding for major tradeshows (e.g., ICSC, NAIOP, CSSA). This includes booth design, high-end marketing collateral, and attendee engagement strategy.
- Company Culture: Organize internal company-wide events that reinforce our core values and foster a collaborative team environment.
3. Strategic Marketing & Physical Branding
- On-Site Branding: Turn our job sites into active marketing tools by designing high-visibility project signage and QR-enabled fence wraps (expert-level print production management).
- Digital Lead Gen: Oversee the evolution of buildwithhernandez.com, ensuring it functions as a high-performing tool with an optimized, current portfolio.
- Visual Storytelling: Coordinate with drone pilots and photographers to capture progress on our portfolio for use in reports, presentations, and marketing materials.
- CRM & Automation: Streamline HubSpot/Salesforce to automate lead-capture and "drip" campaigns.
Qualifications
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe InDesign is non-negotiable. You should be comfortable building multi-page, complex layouts from scratch for professional print and digital distribution.
- Experience: 6–10 years of experience in Marketing, Corporate Communications, or PR.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in Commercial Real Estate (CRE), AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction), or Industrial Development is highly preferred.
- Communication Mastery: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to turn complex construction concepts into engaging, professional copy.
- The "Builder" Mindset: A proactive, detail-oriented "doer" who understands the future-focused nature of our $2B portfolio.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 annually.
- Full Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Retirement: 401(k) with company matching.
- Culture: Paid Time Off (PTO), professional development opportunities, and a "Purpose Driven" team environment that celebrates growth and momentum.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
