What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swiss CNC Machinist position at Hermetic Solutions Group?
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The CNC Machinist contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set ups of CNC machines. You are responsible for running multiple and varying Swiss CNC machines simultaneously, and run Lathes, and Mills. Experience with CNC Machining in a manufacturing work environment required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to Area Supervisor
Review work orders and related paperwork to plan CNC equipment setups, pull machine tools as specified, and insert in tool holders.
Select, load and test program, modify program and make necessary machine feed, speed and axis point adjustments.
Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures, make machine control settings, run first piece sample parts, check for required specifications and run job.
Monitor machine operation and check parts throughout run and make necessary adjustments to ensure part specification and quality standards are maintained.
Replace, reset and sharpen tools when necessary.
Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problem and make necessary corrections.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School/GED required.
Machining Trade school a plus
2 Years of experience operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Machining Setups for Production Runs
Able to read Blueprints
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking/understanding English
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constantly operates machinery.
Constantly positions self to operate machinery in a variety of configurations.
Constantly visually inspect parts
Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds
Ability to work mandatory overtime and weekends as required
