The Role
We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Landscape Construction to lead our Commercial Construction Division. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance, growth, profitability, and execution of the division. You will lead the people, processes, and operations that transform opportunities into successful projects while developing the next generation of leaders within our organization.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead our Commercial Division
- Oversee all commercial landscape construction projects from award to closeout.
- Train and develop Production Managers, Project Managers, and operational leaders
- Partner with the CEO to scale our operations and maximize profitability.
- Recruit, mentor, and coach project managers, field superintendents, and operational teams, developing systems for continuous training and performance improvement
- Optimize labor, equipment, and materials across all regional sites.
Client Relations:
- Oversee business development support, build strategic relationships with general contractors and key commercial clients, and support complex contract negotiations. Troubleshoot any foreseeable issues
Drive Operational Excellence
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to company standards
- Improve operational processes, efficiency, and productivity
- Monitor labor, equipment, subcontractors, and resource allocation
Manage Financial Performance
- Own divisional revenue, profitability, forecasting, and budgeting
- Monitor backlog, production performance, and financial results
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and operational efficiency
- Work with leadership to establish growth objectives and business plans
Who We're Looking For
This role is best suited for an experienced executive level leader with a strong background in commercial landscape operations.
Experience
- 10 years leading commercial landscape construction operations at a senior or executive level
- Proven experience leading and scaling large-scale commercial landscape construction operations
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, profitability, and operational planning
- Experience managing Production Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance and developing leaders
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Management, Business, or related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience
