Field Mowing Equipment Operator

Hermes Landscaping is a nationally recognized, award-winning, progressive company that has proudly served the Kansas City metro for over 60 years. We specialize in commercial landscape construction, landscape maintenance, snow & ice management, and residential design-build services.

We are seeking a Field Mowing Equipment Operator (Part-Time) to join our team. This position is responsible for operating tractors with batwing mowers to maintain large commercial fields, native grass areas, and other expansive properties while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do

• Operate tractors equipped with batwing mowers to maintain large fields and native grass areas.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment or property concerns.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and on schedule.
• Keep equipment clean, safe, and in excellent working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Experience operating tractors or heavy equipment preferred.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and equipment care.
• Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.
• CDL preferred but not required.
