This position blends relationship management with planning and precision. You’ll oversee our wine club program from end to end, guiding members through each release, managing seasonal shipments, and developing events and experiences that feel both welcoming and distinctive. You’ll be the lead liaison with our members: planning visits, crafting tasting experiences and helping ensure every interaction feels thoughtful, service driven and reflective of who we are.

Key Responsibilities
- Wine Club Management - Oversee the planning and execution of our Spring and Fall Wine Club shipments including onboarding new members in person and online.
- Member Communications - Oversee the planning and execution of our Spring and Fall Wine Club shipments including onboarding new members in person and online.
- Sales & Marketing Collaboration – Work closely with our Creative and Educational teams to grow Wine Club membership and foster member engagement.
- Wine Education - Plays a regular role in our Tasting Room working directly with guests providing educational tastings with friendly, courteous and professional service and warm hospitality.
Job Description/Scope of Work
Summary:
The Wine Club Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the Hermann J. Wiemer and Standing Stone Wine Club, building relationships and maintaining communications with wine club members, and the planning and logistics of direct to consumer shipping. They will split their time between administrative work in the office and customer facing service in the tasting rooms.
Responsibilities:
Wine Club Management
The Wine Club Manager oversees the Hermann J. Wiemer and Standing Stone Wine Club in all its facets. They are the core driver of its success, in charge of organizing its function, planning its future, and maintaining relationships with its members.
- Responsible for the preplanning, organization and cross departmental collaboration necessary for the our two seasonal wine club shipments each spring and fall.
- Coordinates with the Marketing Team on the creation of wine club materials including informational cards, decorative elements and personalized items.
- Plans and executes member events in both spring and fall and collaborates with the Leadership Team in events programming throughout the year.
- Works to develop new ideas and strategies in the effort to continually improve the quality of our wine club and its contents and elevate the experience of our members.
Member Communication
This role is the lead contact for our Wine Club members and is responsible for all general inquiries and assistance. They act as a bridge between our most frequent visitors and the winery, connecting them to important news and information including new wines and upcoming events.
- Provides prompt, courteous and thoughtful communication to all our members
- Responsible for new wine club member onboarding, communication ahead of seasonal shipments and assistance with club customization.
- Provides concierge style service for members to service both in person visits and online shopping. This includes booking tasting reservations and events tickets, personalization of in-person experiences and assistance with any custom requests for shipping orders.
- Uses practiced communication skills and warm service to help build relationships with members and encourages visits to the winery, participation in events and engagement with our online shopping options.
Wine Education
Wine Education is the core of our guest experience and where many of our in person connections are made and maintained. As such this position plays a regular role in our Tasting Room, working directly with guests to provide educational tastings.
- Depending on the season spends 40-60% of on site time in the Tasting Room in a Wine Educator capacity and prioritizes in person guest experiences.
- As the winery’s in person experiences are centered around weekend visits, the position works most weekends and is not a Monday through Friday role.
- Maintains an awareness for repeat guests, wine club members, industry members, and VIPs and assists in providing tailored experiences and hospitality.
- Helps to develop both repeat guests and new visitors into Wine Club members and brings soft sales skills to bear in this capacity. Encourages return visits through highlighting club offerings.
- Maintains working knowledge of Hermann J. Wiemer and Standing Stone wines, viticultural practices and winemaking processes.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED (required) with a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
- Hospitality or customer service experience within the wine industry or a retail environment (5 years)
- Working wine knowledge with a willingness to learn more (required)
Work Environment
This job operates in a beverage service and retail shop setting using standard restaurant and retail shop equipment and interacts with customers throughout the day.

Exempt, Full-Time, Hourly, Benefits-Eligible with an expectation of 40 hours worked per week and includes weekend work.
Position is tips and commissions eligible and includes an incentive structure.
There is a 90 day probation period for all employees.
