Overview
The Maintenance Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance operations within our facility. This position is responsible for ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally, and that maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management, mechanical knowledge, and leadership skills to supervise a team of maintenance professionals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high and low voltage), and other facility-related equipment.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders, inventory management, and reporting.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project management teams on facility upgrades or new installations.
- Provide training and support to maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
- Analyze schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
Skills
- Proven management experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial maintenance practices.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems (high voltage & low voltage), and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Strong project management skills to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting. This position is essential for maintaining operational excellence within our facility.
