What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Cath Tech Trainee position at Heritage Valley Health System?
Cardiac Cath trainee will work Monday thru Friday, 8hr shifts, 0630-1500 or 0700-1530. Will start with no on-call for weekends or holidays until proven competent to take buddy on-call.
Trainee will be crossed trained CCL, EP, and IR
Primary responsibilities include assisting the physicians in the scrub and hemodynamic monitoring roles for the following procedures: Cardiac, Electrophysiology, Peripheral, Structural Heart and Interventional Radiology diagnostic and interventional procedures. The technologist must coordinate his/her efforts with those of his/her co-workers including physicians, RN’s, techs, and unit clerks to provide high quality, patient focused services.

Required
- Must be a graduate of an Accredited ARRT program with 3 years General Radiology experience.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable.
- Required to live within thirty minutes of Heritage Valley Health System, Beaver Campus.
- ACLS Certification (or attain within six months of employment)
