Direct Sales Representative

This is a field-based, outside sales opportunity where you'll work directly with small and medium-sized business owners and decision-makers in your assigned territory. You'll help businesses and their employees access supplemental insurance solutions while building your own client base and long-term book of business.

As a Direct Sales Representative, you'll develop relationships with business owners and decision-makers while growing your territory and client base.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Meet face-to-face with small and medium-sized business owners and decision-makers

• Present supplemental insurance products and solutions based on client needs

• Prospect for new business through businesses, referrals, and existing client relationships

• Build and maintain your own book of business

• Follow up with prospective and current clients

• Respond to client emails and phone calls

• Schedule appointments and conduct follow-up meetings

• Participate in team meetings, training, and manager calls

• Maintain consistent daily sales and prospecting activity

• Track and submit daily sales metrics and activity

• Set and communicate your weekly working schedule with your sales manager

• Develop long-term professional relationships with clients and business owners

Our training program combines virtual classroom instruction with hands-on training alongside an experienced sales trainer in your assigned territory. You'll receive guidance on prospecting, needs-based selling, presenting solutions, overcoming objections, closing, follow-up, territory development, and building long-term client relationships.

• Active Health & Life General Lines license, or willingness and ability to obtain a Health & Life Producer License

• Licensing reimbursement available

• Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 4 years of professional post-high-school work experience

• Candidates within 6 months of completing their degree may be considered

• Candidates with less than 4 years of professional experience may be considered if they have relevant or specialized outside sales experience
