Oversee the full HR lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management

A well-established Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in New York is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Human Resources to lead all HR functions within the building. This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting staff, strengthening facility culture, and ensuring full compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
Responsibilities

Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave processes
Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in accordance with regulatory standards
Partner closely with department heads and facility leadership to support operations
Lead training initiatives including orientation, in-service education, and compliance requirements
Promote a positive, supportive, and professional work environment
- Process Bi-weekly payroll for both salary and hourly employees.
Qualifications
Previous HR leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare setting required
Strong knowledge of NY employment laws and healthcare HR compliance
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
