Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment.
- Assist with memory care activities for clients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of care provided.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers as needed.
- Provide catheter care and other personal health services as required.
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to recognize changes in client health status.
- Experience in home health care settings is preferred but not required.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals tailored to individual client needs.
- Proficient in cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic living space for clients.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Familiarity with maintaining medical records accurately and confidentially.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus.
- Competence in providing catheter care and understanding related health needs.
